Teens Exploring Technology (for 8th through 11th grade Males)
All 8th through 11th Grade Males: Applications for the Summer Coding Leadership Academy (SCLA) are due next Thursday, March 9 at 5 pm. SCLA is a free 12-week computer science and entrepreneurship program for low-income African-American and Latino boys between the 8th and 11th grades.
From June 14 - August 5 at the University of Southern California, young men of color will learn how to code and build their own tech businesses. At the end of the summer, they will compete at Demo Day to win startup funding and a trip to Silicon Valley!
Invite young men of color to join our network of tech leaders. They will gain confidence while solving community problems, making lifelong connections, and becoming part of our brotherhood, the "Navy SEALS" of Los Angeles tech.
If you've already shared information about our program, thank you! Please remind your students to submit their applications this week at exploringtech.org/scla.
