Good afternoon Parents/Guardians,

We are currently accepting self-nominations for the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC). If you are interested in serving as a parent representative, please complete the self-nomination form using the QR code on the flyer or the link provided below. Your participation is vital in supporting the success of our English Learners.

SSC Parent Orientation and Elections Meeting

Dear Parent(s),

Join the School Site Council (SSC)!

The SSC is a decision-making group required at all schools receiving Title I funds. It includes students, parents, teachers, and community members who work together to improve our school. The main role is to develop, oversee, and evaluate the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to improve student learning.
What does the SSC do?

Analyzes student achievement data
Helps decide how the school budget is spent
Develops and reviews the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) Sets and reviews school goals
Works on the school safety plan
Determines academic programs to support learning
Collects input from the school community
Selects school improvements
Submits a site plan to the State Board of Education

If you would like to self-nominate as a student member, please complete and return the Self-Nomination form by Thursday, August 28, 2025 to the main office.

SSC Teacher Self-Nominations and Elections Dates

The SSC is a decision-making group required at all schools receiving Title I funds. Its main role is to develop, oversee, and evaluate the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to improve student learning.
Here is an overview regarding the purpose and function of the SSC:
Student achievement: Analyzing and reviewing student achievement data
Budgeting: Helping develop the school site budget and making budgetary decisions
School plan: Developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and monitoring its implementation
School goals: Setting and reviewing school goals
School safety: Developing the school safety plan
Academic programs: Determining academic instructional programs
Community input: Gathering community input
School improvements: Selecting school improvements
State Board of Education: Recommending and submitting a site plan to the State Board of Education


If you would like to self-nominate to be a member of the SSC, please fill out the Google Form by Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Once all self-nominations are received, teachers will vote on the qualifying nominees by Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. More information will be shared soon.
