Wolverine Tickets Provide Access To Activities--Earn Yours Now!

Any students who have earned Wolverine Tickets can redeem them at the Wolverine Warehouse on Thursday, May 24, 2018, during lunch. Students are invited to come by and exchange their Wolverine Way tickets for treats and treasures - We have everything from school supplies for three tickets, to chips, and Jansport Backpacks.
For those students who have earned several Wolverine Tickets, you can redeem fifteen tickets in order to participate in the "Ice Cream Sundae Party", on Wednesday, May 31, 2018, behind the Foshay Theatre, after-school. (McFadden, 5/31)

School Experience Survey for Parents, Students and Staff Due on Friday, December 7th.

The School Experience Survey is an annual survey administered in the fall to all LAUSD schools. Survey results provide schools with important feedback from teachers, staff, students and parents. If you have any questions about the School Experience Survey, please send an email to [email protected] or call (213) 241-5600.

The 2018-2019 School Experience Survey window is now open. The window will remain open through Friday, December 7th. Students and staff will take their survey online. Parents have the option of completing either the online survey or the paper survey.

Paid Intership at California Science Center--Applications Due October 2, 2018

Interns in grades 10 through 12 work alongside California Science Center staff to inspire science learning in everyone. Their work may entail working with California Science Center guests, community partners, and other groups of learners. Primary responsibility is to deliver and engage in science activities. Other responsibilities may include supervising children, public speaking, and mentoring other students. All teen interns will learn job-related skills as well as life skills.

School Year Program: Must be a currently enrolled high school student in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Summer Program: Must be a currently enrolled high school student in 10th or 11th grade with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Returning applicants (interns) who were previously employed by the California Science Center Foundation are given preference.
Applicants who reside within a one (1) mile radius of the California Science Center are given preference; applicants beyond this radius will be reviewed depending on the amount of applications received.
Ability to follow directions and be a team player. Positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
Eagerness to learn, help others learn, and willing to contribute creative ideas
Deadline to Apply is October 2, 2018.


LAUSD School Police will be promoting a new program to inform students that bullying done through social media can be considered a felony, and students may be arrested if found to do.

Foshay Senior Portrait Date--July 30, 2018

Foshay Seniors, if you would like to appear in the Foshay Yearbook in the special section for seniors, you will need to take a Senior Portrait. The Senior Portrait Day will be July 30, 2018 at the Foshay Theatre. Time: 1:00 to 3:00pm, on a walk-in basis. First come, first served, so don't be late.

Back To School Health Fair--Sponsored By Mothers In Action

Families of Foshay Students have been invited to attend the 20th Annual Back To School Health Fair on Saturday, August 4, 2018, sponsored by the Mothers In Action organization. At the event, students can participate in free health screenings, hair cuts, receive school supplies, and mandatory immunizations. Please see the flyer for more information.
