Course Outline for Spanish 3 native speakers

A two semester course for Spanish speakers who have completed Spanish 2AB for Spanish speakers (SSS 2AB) or whose competency in reading, writing and speaking indicates need for instruction that is more advanced then that offered by SSS 2AB. The course focuses on teaching language through literature. It exposes the students to works of literary significance and social, cultural and historical issues of the Spanish speaking world. The course continues to stress reading, writing and appropiate language usage. Students who complete and satisfactorily meet the requirements of the course receive ten semester periods of credit. Students who achieve grades of A, B or C can apply for Advanced Placement Spanish Language.
