Personal Statement: Life truly is like a box of chocolates because you never know what you are going to get.  However, the thing about life is that sometimes when you think you have won, you truly have lost and when you think you have lost, you really have you won. Time and patience will reveal to you if you lost or won.

About Me:

 

My name is Jonas Calderon.  I am a 53 year old Latino man who was born in the Central part of America - EL Salvador - I migrated to the US from my homeland in 1985 due to a civil war that was demolishing the nation.  I arrived to the US as a 9th grade student.  I came to live with my sister and had to learn English.  I am a product of LAUSD since I went to John Adams MS  and then Manual Arts HS.  I completed  my higher  education at USC and then clear my teaching credential at Dominguez Hills.   I am a married man and a father of three.   I have two boys and a girl.   I live in Monterey Park and I am also the father of a cat, La senorita Poindexter.
