About Us

Established originally as James A. Foshay Junior High School opened in February 1925, named after James A. Foshay who served as Assistant Superintendent of the Los Angeles public schools in 1893 and later as Superintendent. In 1993, Foshay became known as a Learning Center school with grades that span from K-12.

Our Mission

The Mission of the James A. Foshay Learning Center is to develop socially responsible citizens prepared to face the challenges of the 21st Century.
