Foshay 10th Grader Wins Warren Christopher Scholarship and Will Attend National Student Leadership Conference!

Congratulations to Foshay Tenth Grader, Minna Belidhon. Minna has been selected to receive the Warren Christopher Scholarship of $20,000, which she will receive upon acceptance to a college or university. Minna was also selected to attend the National Student Leadership Conference at the American University in Washington D.C., on a full scholarship this summer. Foshay is very proud of you, Minna!! Stewart Alvayero Signs With Vanguard University in Costa Mesa!

Senior Foshay Student, Stewart Alvayero has signed his letter of intent to attend Vanguard University, with a full academic and soccer scholarship for four years. Established in 1920, Vanguard University was the first-four year college to set up a campus in Orange County in 1950. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are very proud of Stewart. Go Wolverines!

Foshay's Beyond The Bell After-School Program Student Wins Essay Contest

Juan Contreras, one of our Fabulous Foshay middle school students, was one of two LAUSD winners for the "Do the Write Thing" National Essay Competition. Juan, along with his mother, were flown to Washington, D.C. to be recognized for his essay, as well as having it published in the Library of Congress. Following the visit to Washington, Juan was invited to meet and receive a City of Los Angeles--Certificate of Recognition by our Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti. Congratulations to our students and staff that have been recognized as being some of the top participants in the LAUSD/CIF All City Sports teams this year. They are:
