Course Syllabi
Foshay teachers have committed to using common course syllabi* for all courses at each grade level. For example, all students taking 6th grade science are learning the same things and being evaluated the same way, no matter which teacher he/she may have. We hope this will allow teachers to discuss their students' performance on common assignments and use the information to improve student achievement.
The common course syllabi are listed below for grades 6-8. If you have any questions, you may speak to any teacher in the department or the Department Chairperson.
*Definition: A course syllabi is a document that describes the goals of a course and the manner in which a student is graded. You may also find the teacher's expectations in terms of behavior as well as information about policies regarding absences, late work and/or homework.
