Memoir
I began my writing career in 1971 with a Blxplotation theme. I was inspired by those movies and journalist and one-time pioneering T.V. talk show host Louis Lomax (1922-70). A woman assistant drama class teacher showed it to the director at the now-defunct Watts Writer's Workshop. He gave me a positive, encouraging critique and admonished,"Write. Write all the time and write everything you can think of." In addition to a hundred plus published newspaper pieces I have three fiction works, Tales of Tyrone (2006), a short story collection; Champion Plate (2007), a novella and it's sequel Down a Different Route (2010). I'm 53 and at work on another novelette.
