I Could Never Forget
I could never forget all the wonderful things you’ve done.
How you would make every rainy day or holiday meaningful and fun.
I could never forget how you used to make fun of your big sister.
How she would get mad and then she laughed and you tell her you still loved her.
I could never forget all the memories that we shared.
How I would be bad or get in trouble and you still showed how much you cared
Now that you’re gone - what is there left?
You’ve always been there to help me order my steps.
Oh how I cry when I hear your name
Ever since you left, my life will never be the same.
You were supposed to help me become a better woman.
To help find a man that’s trusting and loving.
Of course you loved everyone but I was your favorite.
How every memory I honor, hold, and savor it.
You were the one I could count on till the very end.
How I considered you more than my auntie, to me you were my best friend.
But I know that you’re in a much better place.
And that no one could ever fill in that empty space
So I’ll let you rest and let your spirit be free
Just remember to save a spot in heaven
