You are enrolled in 8th Grade Science and will be using Physical Science. You will learn the following and be able to perform the following skills by the end of this course:

       C. Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures
  6. The Atom
       A. Introduction to the Atom
       B. The Periodic Table
  7. Interactions of Matter
       A. Chemical Bonding
       B. Chemical Reactions
       C. Chemical Compounds
       D. The Chemistry of Living Things
 
  **8. Labs and hands-on activities are included with each major section to enhance understanding and application to real-life. In addition, students will be engaged in Independent Study projects which will overarch major themes of study.
