Welcome Letter
Greetings Foshay LC Teachers and Staff,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. I hope you had a wonderful summer. My name is Jose Reinozo, and I am very excited to be assigned to support the school community as your Multilingual Multicultural Acceleration Language Coach (MMALC). My role is to work with teachers of emergent bilinguals. Although primarily my focus will be to help PLTEL and LTEL students attain necessary academic English language skills, and ultimately move towards reclassification from the EL Program, I am available as a think partner for planning and instruction for all emergent bilinguals.
Here are some ways I can support you and your students:
- Monitoring EL student progress toward reclassification
- Providing small group push-in integrated and designated ELD instruction
- Providing primary language support
- Demonstrating or co-teaching designated and integrated ELD lessons
- Helping examine and interpret EL data for planning, teaching, and reflection
- Supporting students in using tools and resources that will help them be successful in your classroom
