The School Site Council (SSC) in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is a governing body for each school that includes teachers, parents, students, and community members.
Here is an overview regarding the purpose and function of the SSC:
Student achievement: Analyzing and reviewing student achievement data
Budgeting: Helping develop the school site budget and making budgetary decisions
School plan: Developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and monitoring its implementation
School goals: Setting and reviewing school goals
School safety: Developing the school safety plan
Academic programs: Determining academic instructional programs
Community input: Gathering community input
School improvements: Selecting school improvements
State Board of Education: Recommending and submitting a site plan to the State Board of Education


If you would like to self-nominate to be a member of the SSC, please fill out the Google Form by Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Once all self-nominations are received, teachers will vote on the qualifying nominees by Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. More information will be shared soon.
