Yearbook (Period P8 TrC)
Course Description
In the Yearbook class at Foshay, you will learn the skills needed to produce the Foshay school yearbook. When you are in between yearbook assignments, you will also contribute to a monthly web magazine, The Wolverine.
You will learn the web-based yearbook production tool to create your yearbook pages.
You will learn to operate several different types of digital cameras and scanners to produce photographs for the yearbook.
You will learn Adobe Dreamweaver - the WYSIWYG editor used to create content for the web.
To work with your images, you will learn Adobe Photoshop.
Second semester, after most of the yearbook is complete, you will also learn Adobe Flash, which is used to create animations and interactive content for the web.
This class is open to all grade levels and all academies. You do not have to have experience using computers to take this class, but it helps!
