Parent Portal:  What is it?

It is a platform that allows you to view your child’s Attendance, Special Education Services, Grades and other important information regarding the academics of your child.  A special PIN number will be given to you by the school.

To activate your account with your Parent PIN, please go to:

In the parent portal, you add your email address and create a password for LAUSD applications, you must add each child you have enrolled at LAUSD schools in order to see them attached to your parent account. To add a child, please use your child’s unique LAUSD Student ID number that is listed on their report card, or on your child’s school ID card.  Once it is created, you can also use your Parent Portal account information, to access Schoology as a “Parent” at the website:

How to submit assignments on Schoology as a student:

To make a submission for an assignment from the Schoology platform, students can:

  1. Click the assignment for which they'd like to make a submission.
  2. Click Submit Assignment in the Submissions area in the right column.
  3. Select-Upload: Select a file saved to the computer, to upload in Schoology.
  4. Click Submit to finish the upload process and to send information to the teacher.
