The Promotion Letter was given to students on October 18, 2019 during Homeroom.
Due back with Parent/Guardian & Student signatures to Academic Counselor.
Below are the requirements for participating in promotion activities. These expectations are effective as of the 2019-20 school year. Students in danger of not promoting or students who have not met the below requirements will receive reminders at the beginning of second semester. Students who do not meet the criteria must fill out an appeal request form and turn in by the announced date during second semester (appeals will be considered if there are extraordinary or extenuating circumstances).
- A student may not participate in promotion activities if he or she has more than four (4) "F" marks in the 8th grade during marking periods.
- A student may not participate in promotion activities if he or she has more than two (2) Unsatisfactory (U) ratings for Citizenship during quarter marking periods, with no more than one (1) earned in the 15 week spring progress report.
- A student may not have more than one (1) suspension as assigned by an administrator.
