Mrs. Masoudi's Introduction

nǐ hǎo! My name is Mrs. Masoudi. I am glad to be your Mandarin teacher! I am from Nanjing, China. I got my bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Nanjing Normal University. Then I went to University of Maryland, College Park and received my Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

In our Mandarin classes, we will need notebooks and Chromebooks for assignments. You can find all your assignments and grades on Schoology.

Chinese is a challenging course to learn. One important classroom norms is Having a Growth Mindset and it means you should not give up learning in class and you can retake tests as many times as you want to improve grade. If you see a 0 for an assignment, it only means you need to complete it as a missing work and you will get your full credit back once you turn in the work.

Good luck and enjoy learning Mandarin Chinese! Don't give up and keep trying because I know you can do it!
