The California Department of Public Health along with LACIP will be celebrating Preteen Vaccine Week from February 7 – 13, 2016. The goal of 2016’s Preteen Vaccine Week campaign is to raise awareness about California’s Tdap requirement for incoming 7th grade students, immunization recommendations for 11-and 12-year-olds, and promoting the preteen doctor visit through multiple avenues such as schools, providers, and the media.

Center Theatre Group is very excited to be hosting a large College and Career Fair for the Arts on Saturday, February 6, where high school students can meet representatives from more than 35 local colleges, universities and organizations, attend free workshops on a variety of topics relevant to arts-interested students, and enjoy free lunch from a food truck. The entire event is free, and parents and teachers are welcome at the fair (workshops are students-only). Colleges and universities include USC, LACC, CalArts and more, all recruiting for multiple degree programs. Students can stop by any time during the day. They can also sign up ahead of time to get a free gift, and to guarantee a spot in one of the workshops.
