Welcome Students and Parents,

 

I am glad to have you and your child in my class this year.  I teach three different classes- Advanced Placement Literature, Expository Reading Writing Curriculum (Senior English) and Writing Seminar, which we call Genius Seminar. I have attached a syllabus for each class, with specific information on each class. 

 

Some things that can help you get to know me: I am very happy to be starting my 34th year at Foshay.  It is very much my home and I am very happy here.  I am Nationally Board Certified in English Language Arts and have taught grades 6-12. I have two daughters ages 21 and 24 and two black kitties. 

 

The most important things you can do to support your student is to make sure they are here on a regular basis, make sure they have time and space to do homework and encourage them to read.  Reading is linked not just to achievement in English class, but also in other academic areas like science and even math.
