Foshay High School is one of America's BEST High Schools of 2010!

Congratulations to all the students, parents, teachers, administration and staff for creating such a noteworthy program.

Newsweek has once again ranked Foshay's high school among the top 6% of high schools in the United States! The magazine started ranking high schools in 1998 and Foshay has appeared on the list every year since 2003.

Click on the link below to find out how the ranking is determined. Check out the FAQ to find out why you shouldn't worry if our school has dropped or risen in the rankings over time. As the journalist states in question 7: "The important thing is that your school is on the list, not where on the list it is."
 
More important than the ranking is the index number, which is based on a formula that compares the number of students taking Advanced Placement exams with the number of graduating seniors that year. Foshay's index has improved to 2.408 since 2003.

  • Foshay ranks #10 of all the schools on the list from Los Angeles.
  • Foshay ranks #60 of all the schools on the list from California.
  • Foshay ranks #442 of all the schools on the list in the United States.
